Geophysicist - DP

In this role you will collaborate with geoscientists and engineers to enable customers to leverage Petrel E&P software for exploration and development. You will troubleshoot software challenges, train customers on modules and workflows, and support project consulting tasks. You will deliver high-quality study results, assist with technical design and incident response, and explore value-added services. You will stay current on new technologies and engage with universities and professional communities. This position is based in Houston as part of SLB's Product & Service Delivery team.

• Support customers in using Petrel E&P software for E&P activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve software challenges during projects
• Guide and train customers on software modules and workflows
• Support project consulting tasks including geophysical/geological interpretation
• Provide technical support throughout Sales and Product & Service Delivery processes
• Assist in developing technical job designs for project leaders (PLs)
• Identify areas for new and cost-effective techniques
• Explore opportunities for value-added products and services
• Consult with Design/Technical Engineer to optimize technical design
• Assist in real-time incident response, recovery, and investigation
• Evaluate technical viability of tenders related to expertise
• Stay current on new technologies
• Maintain visibility through professional society activity and papers
• Engage with universities, institutes and research organizations
• Contribute, write and review technical publications
• Understand competition's technical offerings
• Participate in external technical societies and communities

• Advanced VSP processing, skilled in processing complex subsalt datasets
• VSP survey design with ray and wave equation-based methods
• DAS 3D-VSP processing
• Experience in AVO walkaway VSPs
• Salt proximity survey processing and modeling
• Experienced in advanced VSP imaging workflow
• Master's degree in Geophysics, or a related Earth Science discipline
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
