Overview In this role, you lead a team in delivering fundamental regional oil market analysis, focusing on the Americas while contributing to global coverage. You integrate crude oil and products supply-demand data, track trade flows, and monitor geopolitical and macro developments to inform forecasts. You collaborate across regions and with the NGL team to develop cross-regional views and monthly fundamentals. You engage clients and media to expand the brand and generate ad-hoc insights, while mentoring others to grow their expertise.

Responsibilities- Lead a team of analysts to monitor short-term crude oil and oil product developments in the Americas and deliver ad hoc insights
- Develop regional fundamental analysis (supply, demand, trade flows, inventories) and publish a monthly base-case forecast
- Collaborate with global fundamentals and regional teams to craft cross-regional views on balances, prices, arbitrage, and margins
- Provide leadership on NGL/LPG market dynamics and coordinate with the global NGL team
- Contribute to general research, product development, and client-facing activities for the Americas team
- Present research at conferences and engage with clients in commercially oriented relationships
- Engage with media through the brand's media-relations team to broaden reach
- Generate leads for ad-hoc analysis and reports
- Mentor team members to develop oil market knowledge and support career growth
Key requirements- Minimum of eight years of experience in oil insights or an analysis role in a trading, downstream, or integrated company
- Analytical mindset with demonstrable quantitative skills
- University degree in Engineering is highly valued (Master or Bachelor)
- Knowledge of crude oil and refined product markets, including trade flows and refinery margins
- Strong quantitative skills including Python, SQL, and advanced Excel
- Strong technical writing and English communication skills
- Proactive, independent, collaborative, and able to lead a diverse team
- Willingness to travel within the region and occasionally globally
- Ability to work across time zones; Portuguese or Spanish knowledge is a plus
