Overview In this role you will collect and manage geophysical data on client sites, supporting high-quality surveys and accurate deliverables. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to advance site characterization and geo-risk assessment, contributing to safer, more sustainable project outcomes. You'll handle field surveys, data processing, and technical reporting while ensuring data integrity and equipment readiness. This position offers hands-on fieldwork, travel, and opportunities to grow through specialized geophysical methods within Fugro's integrated site-solutions practice. You will help translate field observations into actionable insights that inform project decisions and design.

Responsibilities- Lead by example with focus on Quality, Health & Safety, Security and the Environment as core values.
- Support collection of high-quality geophysical data per project specs and procedures.
- Conduct field surveys using GPR, EM, Electrical Resistivity, Magnetics, and other applicable methods.
- Operate geophysical instruments and data acquisition systems.
- Assist mobilization/demobilization activities on projects.
- Verify data quality in the field and identify corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate positioning, measurements, and survey documentation.
- Perform preliminary data reduction, QC, and processing of datasets.
- Review data for inconsistencies or anomalies.
- Support preparation of technical deliverables, maps, figures, and reports.
- Maintain organized project files, field records, and data archives.
- Assist senior geophysicists with data interpretation and analyses.
- Utilize geophysical and geospatial software tools for project execution.
- Perform routine inspection, testing, calibration, and maintenance of equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment/software issues during field operations.
- Maintain equipment inventory and monitor performance and maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate field notes and project documentation.
- Collaborate with project team members and support schedule adherence.
Key requirements- Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
- Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, Geology, or Geosciences.
- Field experience collecting data via geophysical methods (GPR, EM, seismic, resistivity, etc.).
- Knowledge of Windows OS (e.g., Windows 7).
- Willingness to travel up to 80%.
