Overview In this role you help modernize finance functions for clients as part of Deloitte's Controllership and Treasury Transformation practice. You will design scalable finance data architectures, support COA modernization, and enable confident decision-making through data and automation. You'll collaborate with finance and tech stakeholders to improve reporting, governance, and AI-enabled tooling across complex transformations. This opportunity offers hands-on work shaping data models and reconciliation frameworks at scale, with a focus on impact and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities- Design enterprise finance data models across general ledger, subledger, consolidation, planning, reporting, and analytics layers
- Support chart of accounts modernization, harmonization, and hierarchy design for reporting and analytics
- Build crosswalks, transformation logic, and reconciliation frameworks for ERP transformations and post-merger integration
- Develop repeatable data preparation, cleansing, validation, and automation workflows using Alteryx, Tableau Prep, Savant, or similar tools
- Translate reporting requirements, KPIs, and governance needs into target-state finance data architecture decisions
- Support digital controllership and financial reporting initiatives including process redesign, controls enhancement, and automation
- Leverage AI-enabled capabilities to accelerate finance data model design, COA structures, reconciliation frameworks, and reporting hierarchies
- Lead projects or workstreams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Perform data modeling, reconciliation, and validation using Alteryx to support SAP S/4HANA implementation activities
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in relevant fields
- 3+ years in finance transformation, finance systems, or finance data architecture/management
- 3+ years in requirements gathering or full lifecycle ERP implementation
- Experience designing enterprise finance data models across GL, subledger, consolidation, planning, and reporting
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion, Workday Financials, or similar ERP platforms
- Experience leading COA modernization, harmonization, or governance initiatives across entities
- Experience designing reconciliation, migration, and crosswalk frameworks for ERP transformations
- Experience supporting digital controllership or financial reporting initiatives including controls or automation
- Exposure to AI- or GenAI-enabled finance tools or interest in applying AI to controllership
