Overview

In this role you will manage defense litigation matters from start to finish, serving as the primary contact for clients and guiding strategy. You'll work across diverse practice areas in a collaborative, flexible environment that values professional development and work-life balance. You will develop litigation strategies, conduct research and drafting, and support motions, depositions, and trial preparation. Responsibilities
  • Manage defense litigation matters from inception to resolution
  • Serve as primary client contact and provide strategic guidance
  • Conduct legal research, drafting, and analysis
  • Prepare and argue motions, attend hearings, manage discovery
  • Take and defend depositions; participate in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings
  • handle matters across multiple practice areas including business, real estate, product, and tort litigation
Key requirements
  • Active membership in the Washington State Bar
  • 5+ years of litigation experience
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases and client relationships
  • Strong legal writing, drafting, and research skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience with depositions, motions practice, and trial preparation
  • Prior law firm experience preferred
  • Case management experience
  • Experience representing public entities or school districts is a plus (not required)
