Overview In this role, you lead North American mining technical services across geology, mining, advisory, and processing to deliver technically solid, economically sound solutions. You'll guide multi-disciplinary project teams from early studies to execution, while supporting business development with key clients. You'll shape project scopes, ensure quality control, and act as a technical lead and trusted advisor. Responsibilities- Lead and direct a multi-disciplinary team (mining engineers, geologists, economists, designers) from high-level studies through execution
- Prepare technical reports from Order-of-Magnitude/PEA to Definitive Feasibility Studies
- Engage in business development with external relationships and key clients
- Foster an innovative, collaborative work environment valuing performance
- Interface with clients on project technical issues
- Serve as program manager, account manager, or project sponsor on key accounts
- Define scope and execution plans with the client's objectives and study guidelines
- Improve study management processes including risk/value management and option evaluation
- Act as technical peer reviewer and Qualified Person for technical components
- Assist clients in crafting study narratives and engaging stakeholders
- Understand and implement stage-gate study processes
- Conduct QA/QC on own projects and peers' work
- Mentor junior staff and participate in hiring
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed
- Be a driver of a positive work environment
- Hold a valid driver's license

- Diverse experience across the full life-cycle of mining projects
- Ability to sign off as competent person for NI43-101, JORC and SEC SK-1300 reserves & resources
- Influential leadership with ability to balance priorities and gain buy-in
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders from multiple cultures
- Comfort in managing a virtual, global team
- Strong leadership, planning, teamwork, decision-making, judgment, and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of contracts and engineering delivery methods, and different pricing structures
- Existing well-established mining industry network
- Strong organizational, technical, leadership, written and oral communication, QA/QC skills
- Demonstrated innovation in mining processes
- Aptitude for steering multi-disciplinary teams toward objectives
- Willingness to travel 10% to client sites or Stantec offices
