Overview In this role you support multiple hospital departments with day-to-day HR operations, upholding high ethical standards and the district's mission and values. You'll handle onboarding, policy development, and HR process improvements to foster a compliant, efficient workplace. You'll analyze metrics, maintain employee records, and coach managers on HR policies, contributing to a positive and productive work environment. This position offers impact across healthcare teams and opportunities to shape people processes at PMHD.
Responsibilities- Support multiple District departments to maintain the HR function
- Coordinate onboarding for new hires and short-term orientation
- Oversee hiring processes, pre-placement activities, and badge issuance
- Assist in developing HR policies and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform programs and policies
- Maintain accurate employee files and HRIS data for transfers and promotions
- Provide HR topic guidance to staff on leaves and compensation
- Promote HR programs to improve workplace efficiency and reduce conflicts
- Coach managers and employees on HR policies and issue resolution
- Support organizational training and development
- Represent HR in meetings and committees as needed
- May perform Director-level duties in their absence
Key requirements- Associate's degree in Business or related field; 3 years HR experience or 5 years HR generalist experience
- Ability to interpret and apply laws, guidelines, and policies
- Proven ability to interact with all levels of staff
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Professional in Human Resources certification preferred
- ADP experience preferred
- Previous HR experience required
