Overview

In this bilingual HR Generalist role, you will serve as a trusted HR resource across the organization, handling day-to-day employee relations, onboarding, benefits, leaves, and HR compliance. You will partner with managers and employees in a manufacturing environment to support performance, recruitment, and HR processes. Your bilingual Spanish-English communication will enable you to connect with a diverse workforce and help drive a compliant, people-focused HR operation. This role offers hands-on exposure across HR disciplines and opportunities to influence workforce effectiveness and employee experience.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as HR resource for employees and department managers
  • Provide day-to-day employee relations support
  • Assist with employee questions, concerns, and workplace issues
  • Conduct and document employee meetings
  • Support recruiting and hiring for hourly and professional positions
  • Coordinate interviews, offers, background checks, and onboarding
  • Facilitate new-hire orientations and HR training
  • Maintain accurate employee files and HRIS information
  • Assist with benefits administration and enrollment questions
  • Coordinate leave-of-absence and return-to-work documentation
  • Support workers' compensation processes and documentation
  • Assist with performance reviews, corrective actions, and performance documentation
  • Partner with managers on attendance and performance concerns
  • Help ensure HR practices align with California employment requirements
  • Maintain compliance and training records
  • Assist with payroll and timekeeping questions
  • Prepare HR reports and workforce metrics
  • Support audits, policy updates, and other HR projects
Key requirements
  • Spanish-English bilingual proficiency
  • experience in HR generalist activities (employee relations, onboarding, payroll support)
