Overview As HR Generalist, you will support a growing workforce across multiple states with hands-on HR operations. You will drive full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and performance management for both field crews and office staff. You'll oversee workers' compensation, policy development, and compliance to maintain a compliant, safe workplace culture. Your collaboration with managers will help meet project timelines and enhance workforce stability. This role offers meaningful impact by shaping HR processes in a multi-state environment.

Responsibilities- Lead full-cycle recruitment for field and office roles, including postings, sourcing, and interviews
- Support hiring managers with staffing plans and recruitment strategies
- Maintain applicant tracking system and ensure positive candidate experience
- Coordinate onboarding and new hire orientations; integrate new employees into teams and culture
- Manage offboarding, including exit interviews, final pay, and return of property; provide retention insights
- Handle workers' compensation and insurance claims; liaise with providers; maintain records
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures; conduct multi-state HR audits for compliance
- Maintain accurate HR data and reporting; monitor workforce trends for leadership review
- Coordinate training and development initiatives; support payroll processing and benefits administration
- Stay current with HR best practices and employment law changes
Key requirements- 2+ years of HR experience (construction preferred)
- Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of employment laws, workers' compensation regulations, and HR best practices
- HR certification (SHRM-CP or PHR) preferred
