Overview As Quantity Surveyor within Mitie's Custom Solar commercial team, you will manage budgets, forecasting and contract administration for Solar PV projects. You'll support the Power & Grid business unit and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive commercial governance and cash flow. The role involves site visits, stakeholder meetings and mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities- Collate monthly cost data to support CVR production for the Commercial Manager
- Manage budgets and provide monthly forecast updates for allocated projects
- Ensure contract administration aligns with contract requirements
- Oversee cash management and cash flow production
- Prepare forecasting documentation
- Manage subcontractor accounts, including measurement, variations, liability trackers, payment notices, and final accounts
- Attend progress and weekly commercial meetings
- Conduct site visits and support client meetings with the Commercial Manager
- Mentor junior staff and ensure governance and processes are followed
Key requirements- Minimum 2:2 degree in Quantity Surveying
- 3+ years' experience at Quantity Surveyor level
- Strong understanding of Contract Law; NEC suite experience preferred
- Strong commercial acumen and financial awareness
- Willingness to undertake site visits
