Overview Exciting senior role supporting a major semiconductor facility, focusing on electrical cost estimation, quantity take-offs and commercial management of complex installations. You will drive tender analysis, change management and cost benchmarking, collaborating with clients and internal teams to enable accurate budgeting and successful delivery. This position offers exposure to industrial technology and large-scale projects within a global consultancy network. You will help shape value engineering and risk management in fast-track environments.

Responsibilities- Advise clients on strategies, prequalify vendors, assess proposals and bids, and chair bid interviews; manage appointment process
- Independently evaluate tenders and provide commercial recommendations
- Review, validate and negotiate variations, change orders, and compensation events
- Perform high level change order reviews, confirming quantities, rates and scopes
- Understand Class 2 estimates (preferred) and self-perform Class 3 estimates on select submissions
- Manage, review and present estimates of complex change orders from the estimating department
- Benchmark performance against similar commissions
- Assist with change management in a fast-track design and construction environment
- Utilize Bid Analysis Sheets, Change Control Forms, cost estimating and take-off software
- Adhere to SOX controls where applicable
- Provide commercial management support for specialist electrical systems
- Work with industrial technology, semiconductor (a plus), and data center (a plus) projects
- Support projects with cost management on large-scale facilities
- Use MS Suite, Bluebeam and digital cost management or estimating software
- Familiarity with BIM-based quantity extraction is a plus
- Knowledge of semiconductor facility infrastructure and construction methods is a plus
- Familiarity with NECA, RS Means is a plus
- RICS accreditation is a plus
Key requirements- Minimum 5 years of relevant quantity surveying or estimating experience
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts
- RICS accreditation or progress towards it is valuable
- Experience supporting cost management on medium to large construction projects
- Construction consultancy experience preferred
- Knowledge of procurement routes, value management and value engineering
