Safety Superintendent

As Safety Superintendent, you will lead on-site safety programs for commercial and industrial construction projects. You will develop site-specific safety plans, enforce regulatory compliance, and drive continuous safety improvements. You will conduct inspections, investigations, and trainings, partnering with project teams and subcontractors to embed safety into planning and execution. Your role combines leadership, compliance, and proactive risk management to protect workers and project success. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape a culture of safety across multiple sites and initiatives.

• Serve as on-site Safety Superintendent for construction and industrial projects
• Develop and enforce site-specific safety plans, policies, and OSHA/NEC compliance
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments; drive corrective actions
• Lead incident investigations and implement preventive measures
• Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training programs
• Partner with project teams, subcontractors, and EHS leadership to integrate safety into planning
• Manage risk assessments, incident documentation, and corrective action tracking
• Mentor and supervise on-site safety staff
• Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
• Maintain certifications, training records, and compliance documentation
• Participate in pre-construction planning and safety reviews
• Oversee electrical safety and lockout/tagout compliance
• Prepare and report safety metrics to leadership and stakeholders

• Proven experience as Safety Superintendent on commercial and/or industrial construction projects
• 4+ years of progressive safety experience in construction, electrical, or industrial environments preferred
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, NEC, and industry best practices; OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications preferred
• OSHA 500 instructor certification is a plus
• Demonstrated experience with Root Cause Analysis and incident investigation methodologies
