Overview

As a mid-level Real Estate Associate, you will support a prominent AmLaw 100 firm's New York practice by handling sophisticated real estate transactions. You will collaborate with a large team of specialists to structure, draft, and close complex financings, acquisitions, and joint ventures. The role offers early responsibility, cross-practice teamwork, and a clear path for growth within a prestigious global platform. You will help deliver practical, business-focused guidance to clients while advancing your real estate expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Structure, draft, and negotiate a wide range of real estate transactions, including financing, acquisitions, development, and joint ventures
  • Conduct due diligence and coordinate closing processes for complex deals
  • Prepare and review loan agreements, purchase and sale agreements, leases, and joint venture agreements
  • Advise clients on real estate and financing matters with practical guidance
  • Collaborate with corporate and tax teams to deliver comprehensive real estate solutions
  • Develop strong client and internal stakeholder relationships through responsiveness and quality work
Key requirements
  • JD from a top-tier law school; NY Bar admission in good standing
  • 3-7 years of substantive real estate transactional experience
  • Experience representing lenders and/or borrowers in real estate financings, acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, and JVs
  • Experience negotiating, documenting, and closing mortgage, mezzanine, and other secured lending transactions
  • Prior experience at a large law firm or sophisticated real estate practice (highly preferred)
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
