Overview In this Actuarial Consultant role, you apply actuarial skills to support strategic and technical health-care consulting for payers, providers, and government clients. You'll build actuarial models, perform financial analysis, and contribute to project delivery that informs business and policy decisions. The position sits within a fast-paced, client service environment and offers impact across meaningful health care initiatives. You'll work with cross functional teams to shape pricing, network design, and care-cost strategies that align with clients' strategic goals.
Responsibilities- Develop SQL-based models to price benefit and network changes and run detailed claims analytics
- Shape pricing, market entry, network design, and cost-of-care initiatives to improve performance
- Review MA and Part D bid submissions for accuracy and consistency
- Analyze lapse and retention rates and present findings to clients
- Support project delivery with work plans, reports, actuarial models (including IBNR) and ROI assessments
Key requirements- Bachelor
- 2+ years of health actuarial experience
- 2 actuarial exams passed
- Ability to travel 50% on average; immigration sponsorship may be available
- Able to work independently and in teams
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality
