We are looking for a Business Specialist II to join our team!
The Business Specialist II serves as a liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring exceptional service and supporting business growth within an assigned customer portfolio. This role combines customer service and internal sales responsibilities, with a focus on revenue generation, market intelligence, and continuous improvement. The position upholds corporate values and best practices while contributing to strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Improvement: Review current shipping and warehouse procedures to find and fix costly delays.
- Data Analysis: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for freight, inventory levels, and order fulfillment.
- Vendor Relations: Act as a main contact for suppliers, carriers, and freight forwarders.
- Cost Reduction: Recommend strategies to minimize delivery times and lower overall transport budgets.
- Customer Service: Resolve customer inquiries and issues promptly while maintaining professionalism and high customer satisfaction. Manage day-to-day customer interactions, ensuring accurate and timely order entry and confirmation
- Cross-Functional Support: Work with sales, finance, and warehouse teams to ensure customer orders process smoothly.
- Inventory Forecasting: Help build forecasts to balance product demand with available warehouse supply.
- Team Support: Support Logistics Coordinator and Sales Team on documentation and dispatch of materials (includes regular discretionary responsibilities on dispersions and technical grades - powder)
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Associates degree in Business Administration, Communications, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of professional experience in business operations, logistics, or supply chain tracking.
- Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or logistics software (such as SAP, Oracle, or JDA).
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to solve problems using data and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written skills for reporting findings to company leadership and external partners.
