Human Resources (HR) Generalist

In this contract role, you will support the nonprofit's HR operations and help drive a positive employee experience. You'll partner with managers and staff to handle core HR functions while aligning with the organization's mission to serve the community. You'll address employee relations, onboarding, benefits, compliance, and performance initiatives, contributing to operational efficiency and a people-centered culture. This role offers exposure to a broad HR scope in a mission-driven setting and opportunities to drive impact. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support the full employee lifecycle and organizational initiatives.

• Support the full employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, offboarding)
• Coordinate job postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding activities
• Maintain confidential personnel files and HR records
• Assist with benefits enrollment and benefits administration
• Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures to employees and managers
• Support employee relations and assist with conflict resolution
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Assist with performance management and development programs
• Prepare HR reports and track key HR metrics
• Support payroll processing and timekeeping as needed
• Participate in special projects and organizational initiatives
