Overview

In this role you help safeguard consumers and the financial system by supporting data-driven regulatory exams and fair lending reviews. You will lead meetings, coordinate data analysis with the CEU data team, and present results to diverse audiences. You'll work on consumer protection and CRA/compliance reviews, shaping examinations and ensuring data integrity. This is a collaborative, regulator-facing position with a meaningful impact on financial service providers and consumers in New York.

Responsibilities
  • Lead team meetings and coordinate exam activities
  • Address data issues, monitor progress, and ensure timely data analysis
  • Serve as liaison between examiners and CEU data team
  • Support statistical analysis for fair lending and other exams
  • Assist in the verification of loan data for CC, FL, and CRA activities
  • Coordinate consumer-focused examinations and review fair lending plans
  • May run call reports for exams
  • Contribute to technical review and examination of entities for compliance
  • Present data analysis results to non-technical audiences
  • Analyze exam findings with specialists to identify discriminatory patterns
  • Test data accuracy, integrity, and consistency of received data
  • Travel up to 10%
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • Seven years of specialized experience in regulatory compliance or examination of financial institutions (as specified)
  • Ability to oversee junior staff (preferred)
  • Independent work style with resourcefulness
  • Knowledge of Consumer Compliance Fair Lending and CRA regulations (plus)
  • Experience with MS Access and MS Excel
  • Strong qualitative, analytical, and concise writing skills
  • Bachelor's degree may substitute for years of experience (as applicable)
  • J.D., MBA, or advanced degree substitutions available for experience
