Overview

In this role, you support the Servicing and Asset Management team by overseeing insurance monitoring and compliance for a portfolio of commercial loans. You will collaborate with lenders, borrowers, and insurers to ensure coverage aligns with loan documents and regulatory requirements. The role involves analyzing policies, handling waivers, and addressing non-compliance, contributing to accurate data management and risk mitigation. This position offers impact through upholding insurance standards across large, multi-program loan portfolios.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor insurance renewals and ensure timely evidence of coverage and documentation
  • Review and interpret commercial property and liability policies for compliance with loan documents and regulations
  • Compile loan and collateral data for compliance reviews (replacement cost, loss calculations, third-party reports)
  • Analyze and issue blanket and flood analyses for complex policies
  • Communicate with lenders, borrowers, agents, and insurers to resolve non-compliance issues
  • Assess insurance waivers for feasibility and risk, including market and performance data
  • Track force-placed insurance escalations and coordinate with Insurance Management
  • Review casualty losses and advise on coverage and loss proceeds
  • Support insurance activities for new loans, transfers, flood zone monitoring, audits, system testing, and special projects
  • Serve as SME for insurance-related matters and ensure accurate data in loan servicing systems
  • Ensure adherence to Insurance Team policies and suggest process improvements
  • Act as primary contact for insurance matters for the portfolio
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • Minimum 5 years in Commercial Property insurance
  • Ability to read and interpret various commercial property insurance policies
  • Experience in insurance agency and/or servicing
  • Background in insurance compliance and regulatory standards
  • Understand complex loan documents and third-party reports (appraisals, surveys, title)
  • Strong collaboration and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Excellent time management and ability to multitask under pressure
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Willingness to travel if required
