The Senior Accounting Specialist will perform the following duties:
Develop and maintain financial and accounting records, including general ledgers, journals, and other financial documents through the companys ERP system;
Prepare and organize accounting reports, financial statements, business operation reports, and manufacturing cost reports for management review;
Maintain and analyze records concerning corporate assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other financial activities;
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable and monitor related financial transactions;
Conduct bank reconciliations and assist in preparing income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial reports;
Process payroll and coordinate payroll-related accounting matters with the Human Resources Department;
Handle applicable payroll and tax accounting matters, including federal and state income tax and sales and use tax;
Monitor and document financial transactions and accounting activities relating to automotive parts manufacturing operations;
Review and analyze manufacturing costs, financial data, accounting records, and financial reports for accuracy and completeness;
Analyze and resolve accounting and financial issues and assist in ensuring that the ERP accounting system meets the companys operational and business requirements;
Participate in and provide support for internal and external audits and assist in developing corrective financial and accounting plans;
Maintain compliance with applicable accounting and financial reporting requirements; and
Prepare and provide accounting and financial information and reports to senior management.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related field;
Professional experience in accounting, finance, or financial management;
Experience with ERP-based accounting systems;
Knowledge of general ledger accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable, financial statement preparation, bank reconciliations, payroll, and taxation;
Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, accounting reports, and manufacturing cost reports;
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; and
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately analyze financial data.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior accounting or finance experience in the automotive parts manufacturing or manufacturing industry;
Experience with manufacturing cost accounting;
Experience handling payroll, sales and use tax, and internal and external audits;
Experience analyzing cash flow, profitability, financial statements, and accounting records; and
Experience using ERP-based financial and accounting management systems in a manufacturing environment.
