Overview As a Resident Engineer/Inspector, you will oversee field work on Northeast infrastructure projects, ensuring quality and compliance across utilities, roadways, bridges, dams, and airports. You'll join a multidisciplinary team supporting a busy project backlog that aims to improve communities. You will help manage site-observation activities, safety, and documentation, shaping outcomes for transportation and public works. This role offers hands-on impact in a collaborative, employee-owned firm with a strong regional footprint.
Responsibilities- perform field observation of work for utilities, roadways, highways, bridges, dams, and airports
- ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
- document site activities and progress; prepare reports
- coordinate with clients, contractors, and design teams
- monitor safety and quality control on construction sites
Key requirements- five years related field experience preferred OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- experience with NETTCP, ACI, AASHTO, VTrans, NHDOT, and/or FAA Standards preferred but not required
