Overview

In this role, you oversee field activities for DEW's team and subcontractors to meet contract, safety, budget, and schedule goals. You will manage self-perform work and coordinate on-site personnel, aligning with DEW's values and mission. You'll drive project success across multifamily and healthcare settings, shaping on-site processes and teamwork. This position offers hands-on leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a chance to impact project outcomes at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Attend project meetings with subs, vendors, owner, and architects
  • Provide timely input to customers and maintain positive relationships
  • Oversee DEW and subcontractor work crews and ensure adherence to procedures
  • Evaluate field personnel and support their development
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site activities for DEW and subs
  • Prepare CPM and short-term schedules; estimate workforce and equipment needs
  • Manage submittals, delivery schedules, change orders, and cost codes
  • Maintain job-site safety, conduct weekly safety meetings, and enforce OSHA rules
  • Establish on-site quality control and ensure documentation of installation stages
  • Review estimates, subcontracts, and budget; support material buyout and invoicing
  • Coach and mentor employees; conduct performance reviews and provide feedback
  • Submit field reports, coordinate with design/engineering teams, and support proposal/interview activities
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and legal standards
Key requirements
  • At least 5 years in Construction Management Superintendent role
  • Experience with ground-up Healthcare, Commercial, Education, Industrial and Retail projects
  • Proficient in reading construction plans and specifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication; negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Organizational and multitasking skills; ability to meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with CMiC and P6 Scheduling; strong computer skills (MS Office)
  • Experience with budgeting, buyout, cost coding, and invoicing
  • CPR/First Aid and OSHA 10/30 certifications preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred
  • CPR/First Aid Certification; 10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health; 30-Hour OSHA preferred
