Overview As AVP, Legal Entity, you will oversee financial processes and controls for SPAC entities, ensuring U.S. GAAP compliance and timely external reporting. You will work with cross-functional teams to support SEC filings and financial statements, contributing to transaction structuring and entity changes. You'll lead month-end close, substantiate balances, and assist with audits, adding financial advisory input where needed. Responsibilities- Provide financial support for SPAC entities ensuring U.S. GAAP compliance
- Coordinate with Corporate Accounting, Legal, Tax, and Treasury for accurate accounting
- Lead month-end close with journal entries and intercompany activities
- Prepare and review quarterly financial statements for external reporting
- Review SEC filings (Forms S-1, 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K) and contribute to their accuracy
- Perform balance sheet substantiation and evaluate expense accruals
- Assist with audit inquiries and provide required documentation
- Support special projects in collaboration with team members and business managers
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3-8 years in financial accounting within financial services
- CPA certification preferred
- Experience with Big Four public accounting firms desirable
- Proficiency or familiarity with Oracle, ESSBASE, and HFM
- Strong analytical and Excel capabilities
- Project management skills
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail
