Overview

In this role you will support a premier Defense, National Security & Government Contracts team in Washington, DC. You'll handle complex government contracts matters across procurement, investigations, and disputes, contributing to high-profile client work at a leading international firm. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to advise on compliance, risk, and regulatory issues, shaping outcomes in regulated industries. Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on government contracts and federal procurement matters
  • Handle bid protests, CDA claims, and related disputes
  • Counsel on FAR and procurement regulations compliance
  • Conduct and support internal investigations involving government contracting issues
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, memoranda, and transactional documents
  • Provide strategic guidance on regulatory, compliance, and risk management for contractors
  • Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas on complex, regulatory, and national security matters
Key requirements
  • JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record
  • Active DC Bar in good standing (or eligible)
  • 5-8 years of substantive Government Contracts experience
  • Experience in bid protests, Contract Disputes Act matters, internal investigations, regulatory counseling, and federal procurement issues
  • Strong knowledge of FAR and related regulations
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a collaborative team
  • Large law firm experience preferred
  • Ability to manage complex matters with high attention to detail
