Overview In this role you will develop and optimize purification processes for recombinant proteins, guiding process development and characterization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale purification via technology transfer to pilot and manufacturing facilities. You will analyze data, document findings, and support GMP manufacturing of clinical materials. You will evaluate new purification technologies to improve efficiency and quality, contributing to the company's biotechnology pipelines.
Responsibilities- Develop purification processes using clarification, chromatography, and membrane filtration for recombinant proteins
- Design and execute process development and characterization activities, including impurity and viral clearance studies
- Transfer technology to scale-up labs and manufacturing facilities; troubleshoot and investigate issues
- Acquire and analyze data; document results in electronic lab notebooks
- Communicate procedures and results effectively through oral and written channels
- Provide technical support for pilot and/or GMP manufacturing of clinical materials as appropriate
- Evaluate new technologies and innovations for purification processes
