Overview In this role you will provide legal support for Schwab's digital assets platforms, focusing on strategic initiatives, regulatory compliance, and agreements with issuers and advisers. You will work cross-functionally with asset teams to align legal risk with business growth in both broker-dealer and banking contexts. The position offers meaningful impact on how digital assets are offered to clients, with ongoing exposure to regulatory developments and platform partnerships. You will be on-site to collaborate with multiple teams and shape digital assets initiatives.

Responsibilities- Provide legal guidance on strategic and growth initiatives involving digital assets
- Draft customer agreements and disclosures for new products
- Draft and negotiate intermediary agreements with third-party providers and issuers
- Advise on marketing disclosures, policies, and procedures
- Monitor regulatory developments and advise leadership on impact
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships to align legal and regulatory priorities
Key requirements- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active state bar membership
- 4-7 years legal experience at a law firm with banking and/or securities experience related to intermediaries
- Experience with crypto, blockchain, or digital assets preferred but not required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated with strong people skills and ability to work independently
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship
