Overview In this role you will provide legal guidance across the organization, shaping responses to a wide range of issues and helping anticipate legal risks. You will collaborate with multiple departments to support the company's initiatives and ensure compliant, practical outcomes. You'll drive critical activities from contract negotiation to governance and data privacy programs, with a focus on enabling business decisions. This position offers meaningful impact through legal support for transformation, compliance, and strategic transactions.
Responsibilities- Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents (customer/supplier agreements, consulting, software licenses, settlements, warranties, NDAs).
- Consult with management and cross-functional teams on legal issues and risk, including tax, marketing, and commercial advisors.
- Support digital transformation projects (beta testing agreements, data ownership terms, end-user licenses).
- Assist in data privacy and cybersecurity compliance (incident response participation, privacy policies, training).
- Assist General Counsel on corporate governance, board/committee support, and policy development.
- Support corporate compliance (FCPA, export controls, healthcare laws); corporate formation/dissolution and tax matters; maintain governance practices and trends.
- Provide training to management and partners; assist in M&A deal structuring, due diligence, and negotiations.
- Participate in product liability and commercial litigation as assigned.
Key requirements- Graduate of an accredited law school
- Admitted to the Ohio state bar
- 4+ years in corporate and contract law; experience with contract negotiation and corporate matters
