Overview

In this role you will provide day-to-day employment law counsel to HR and business leaders, shaping compliance and policy across hiring, discipline, leaves, discrimination, wage issues, and investigations. You will collaborate across functions to implement effective labor strategies and respond to evolving regulations. You will oversee employment litigation and support labor relations in both unionized and non-union settings, contributing to risk management and proactive guidance. This position combines hands-on advisory work with strategic partnership at P&G's Cincinnati headquarters.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day legal counseling to HR professionals and business leaders on employment law matters
  • Develop, draft, and review employment policies, handbooks, and guidance to ensure compliance
  • Deliver employment law compliance training for HR clients and business partners
  • Manage employment-related litigation, including strategy, discovery, and coordination with outside counsel
  • Draft pleadings and responses to government charges; conduct witness interviews and depositions
  • Advise on labor relations matters under NLRA, including union campaigns and collective bargaining negotiations
  • Monitor employment law developments and communicate implications to stakeholders
  • Support management on employee relations and labor strategy in both unionized and non-unionized settings
Key requirements
  • J.D. with outstanding academic performance; moot court, law review or judicial clerkships preferred
  • Approximately 0-3 years of legal experience at a law firm, in-house, or government agency
  • Experience handling employment litigation, administrative charges, and agency proceedings preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proven leadership and ability to work in a team
  • Membership in at least one state bar in good standing
