Tax Director

In this role you lead tax strategy, compliance, and reporting for a dynamic financial services firm. You work closely with executives to align tax planning with company goals and strategic initiatives. You oversee tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and diverse investment portfolios to ensure compliant, efficient outcomes. You develop innovative tax solutions to boost operational efficiency and support growth, staying ahead of evolving tax laws. You guide external advisers and contribute to the firm's financial strategy through effective tax leadership.

• Direct and oversee tax compliance and reporting for the organization
• Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on tax implications of strategic decisions
• Monitor tax legislation changes and adapt policies for compliance and efficiency
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the tax team
• Prepare and present tax-related reports to executives and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with international tax regulations across North American and European operations

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax management; 18 years preferred
• Proven expertise in tax strategy, compliance, and reporting in financial services
• Strong knowledge of international tax regulations and practices
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Proficiency in tax software and financial reporting tools
