Overview In this role you will support the tax function for private credit funds and various fund entities within a fast-growing investment manager. You will collaborate across teams to ensure tax compliance and planning, handling international reporting and tax research. You will leverage advanced automation tools to streamline tax processes and contribute to a culture built on integrity and teamwork. Responsibilities- Review tax work papers and forms (K-1s, 1065s, 1120-RIC)
- Analyze data for fund tax estimates and international reporting
- Coordinate tax information flow from underlying investments; manage FATCA and CRS
- Automate tax processes using AI and Alteryx
- Prepare quarterly estimated tax payments and state filings
- Respond to tax notices and manage new entity formations (SS-4)
- Research complex tax issues and update ASC 740 memoranda
- Collaborate with management accounting to calculate partner payment estimates and withholding issues
Key requirements- Bachelor of Science degree
- 5 years of experience in private or Big 4 tax environments (8 years preferred)
- CPA designation preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Knowledge of PFICs and CFCs; international tax reporting and compliance
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills
- Experience using AI tools for tax data management (Copilot, ChatGPT)
- Ability to stay updated on evolving tax laws and strategies
