Overview In this role, you will administer a broad range of fiduciary accounts and oversee trust administration to ensure compliance with laws and governing documents. You will collaborate with bankers, advisors, and trust professionals to assess risk and support new opportunities within CNB's risk appetite. You'll lead annual reviews, manage distributions, tax matters, and trustee duties while maintaining strong client and advisor relationships. Responsibilities- Administer fiduciary accounts per laws, regulations, and governing documents
- Interact with real property managers, CPAs, trust counsel, portfolio managers, bankers, and investment advisors
- Oversee annual administrative reviews of trust accounts and ensure document compliance
- Analyze income and cash flow to meet distributions, fees, and expenses
- Prepare gain/loss reports, tax estimates, and coordinate tax payments
- Gather data for reconciliations and ensure charitable distributions and fee agreements are accurate
- Present proposals to Trust Administration Committee and obtain necessary approvals
- Develop investment strategies in collaboration with colleagues
- Oversee asset distributions upon termination of accounts
- Respond to clients and intermediaries regarding account administration
- Maintain compliance with Bank-wide programs and regulatory requirements
- Perform initial legal and administrative reviews of new business opportunities
- Build relationships with COIs, bankers, and financial advisors
- Coordinate with external advisors to expand trust brand and market share
- Escalate issues and manage risk to keep relationships within risk appetite
- Provide regular tracking and reporting of new business activity
- Engage with beneficiaries to profile clients and retention of trusts
- Follow Regulation 9 processes
- Maintain ongoing training and licensing
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 8 years of experience in financial or legal services
- 8 years of experience in trust administration
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- JD, LLM or other legal designation preferred
- Completion of Trust Certificate and/or CTFA preferred
