Overview

In this leadership role you guide a growing team to deliver accurate, audit-ready US tax withholding and information reporting for global custody. You serve as a subject-matter expert on FATCA, CRS, and IRS Chapters 3, 4, and 61, shaping end-to-end tax reporting processes. You leverage automation and analytics to improve data quality and drive timely year-end deliverables. You work closely with cross-functional partners to balance priorities and elevate controls, contributing to a secure, compliant financial ecosystem.

Responsibilities
  • Act as SME on FATCA, CRS, Chapter 3, and Chapter 61 withholding for Global Custody
  • Apply intelligent automation and analytics to maintain data hygiene and perform timely reconciliations of tax outputs
  • Demonstrate end-to-end knowledge of the tax reporting lifecycle (data sourcing, validation, controls, issue management, filing)
  • Collaborate with the business to ensure accurate and on-time reporting
  • Optimize team capacity through proactive planning and prioritization of deliverables; escalate risks and bottlenecks as needed
  • Provide guidance on documentation, withholding determinations, and reporting obligations
  • Lead year-end reporting efforts (e.g., 1042-S/1042, 1099 series, FATCA/CRS reporting)
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team to champion tax reporting excellence
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of tax experience with emphasis on US information reporting, withholding, FATCA, and CRS
  • Strong technical knowledge of IRS requirements under Chapters 3, 4, and 61
  • Proven track record leveraging automation to streamline processes and reduce manual work
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaboration and stakeholder management
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Proactive prioritization and time management
  • Knowledge of FATCA and CRS regimes
  • IRS Chapters 3, 4, and 61 reporting requirements
