Overview In this role, you will support Banner Health's external communications by crafting stories, briefs, and talking points for leaders, while coordinating with teams on media engagement and stakeholder outreach. You will help shape the external communications strategy and manage local and state media relationships to enhance Banner's community profile. You will also guide visuals and ensure brand-aligned content across digital projects. This is a semi-independent role that contributes to a national healthcare leader and offers variety across healthcare communications.
Responsibilities- Support storytelling and stakeholder engagement as a team member on the external communications team
- Create messaging, press materials, and executive briefs to prepare leaders and physicians for speaking and media opportunities
- Contribute to external communication strategy using best-practice methods
- Lead local/state media engagement and assist with national/trade media outreach
- Coordinate meetings and manage administrative tasks, including materials and alignment with stakeholders
- Lead special projects requiring external communications support
- Assist with emergency communications and issues management with social listening and media monitoring
- Oversee complex digital projects, guide visual designers and vendors to meet brand standards and timelines
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business Administration, Marketing or related field
- 2-4 years' experience in public relations, communications, and/or marketing
- Strong writing, editing, and media outreach capabilities
