Overview In this role, you provide strategic legal guidance across commercial, contractual, regulatory and compliance matters, with a focus on drug information and decision-support solutions. You'll negotiate complex customer and partner agreements, manage external counsel, and advise on HIPAA/HITECH, GDPR and health-care laws. You'll collaborate with global teams to identify risks, support new offerings, and shape the company's health-tech initiatives. The position blends legal rigor with cross-functional influence in a supportive, hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities- Structure, draft and negotiate customer agreements (SaaS, enterprise licensing, subscriptions, implementation/services) across Health offerings
- Lead business development, strategic alliances, co-development/co-marketing, and distribution arrangements
- Negotiate content licensing for use in retrieval augmented generation (RAG) models and AI technologies; handle data processing and business associate agreements
- Advise on regulatory exposures related to new offerings, existing sales, and promotional activities
- Counsel on HIT and IP, SaaS subscriptions, software licensing, e-commerce; ensure HIPAA/HITECH and GDPR compliance
- Manage outside counsel and collaborate with global legal teams (IP, litigation, regulatory, HR/M&A)
- Develop deep knowledge of WKH, build senior stakeholder relationships to deliver high-quality legal services
Key requirements- 7+ years of corporate/commercial legal experience
- Experience with healthcare transactional and regulatory matters (domestic and international)
- Strong background in HIT, digital health concepts, software licensing and SaaS
- Understanding of U.S. and EU healthcare laws and regulations
- Located within 50 miles of Waltham, MA and able to work hybrid (2 days in-office)
