Responsibilities- Develop understanding of practice priorities and align support and service delivery accordingly
- Lead client relationship and practice group support with analysts and the Infrastructure team
- Collaborate with partners and client legal departments to design processes and tools aligned with client priorities
- Maintain and enhance practice-specific resources to communicate cost/scope, spot risks, monitor run rate, and optimize delivery
- Advocate for legal project management best practices including scoping, budgeting, progress reporting and client communication
- Partner with Finance, BD, Practice Development, Knowledge Management and other teams to deliver innovative solutions
- Leverage team technology platforms and data storytelling to optimize matter management and answer client questions
- Analyze financial metrics and use insights to raise issues and make recommendations to lawyers
Key requirements- Maintain confidentiality and understand ethical considerations in billing and representation
- Build relationships cross-functionally and achieve buy-in from legal teams
- Effectively convey solutions within a legal project management framework
- Ability to work across multiple offices in a diverse environment and travel as needed
- Bachelor's degree; J.D. or MBA preferred
- At least 7 years of experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, financial institution or large organization; professional services preferred
