Overview In this role you lead the maintenance, operations, and management of the golf course and related facilities, partnering with Troon to uphold high standards for members and guests. You will oversee agronomy-driven maintenance, budget planning, and staff leadership to protect natural resources and shape playability. The position offers a chance to drive continuous improvement across course properties, equipment, and landscapes in a global hospitality context. This is a hands-on leadership role with a clear impact on member experience and course quality.

Responsibilities- Lead construction and maintenance of the golf course(s) and related properties
- Oversee maintenance and repair of construction and golf maintenance equipment
- Prepare annual budgets for maintenance and capital improvements aligned with long-range plans
- Hire, train, and supervise staff; manage payroll and performance
- Plan and schedule maintenance and projects using agronomic and administrative expertise
- Inspect course and facilities to ensure standards; adjust programs as needed
- Procure equipment and supplies; manage inventory and cost controls
- Maintain records on payroll, weather data, procedures, pesticide applications, etc.
- Communicate with top management on goals, plans, and member input
- Oversee compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Support long-range planning and coordination with outside contractors as required
- Potentially manage other club properties (sod farm, nursery, clubhouse grounds, etc.)
Key requirements- Advanced knowledge of agronomy and turfgrass management
- Working knowledge of golf facility construction principles and practices
- Strong administrative and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of laws and regulations affecting golf course operations (employment, safety, environmental)
