Overview In this role you will lead the day-to-day operations of the bankruptcy practice in Phoenix, ensuring smooth administrative rhythms, client intake, and matter setup. You partner with attorneys and staff to align processes with firm procedures, deadlines, and strategic initiatives. You will oversee financial oversight, reporting, and cross-functional coordination to support high-quality client service. This position offers impact across operations, legal workflows, and business development activities in a service-driven environment.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily administrative rhythm of the bankruptcy practice, including meetings, schedules, communications, and follow-up
- Coordinate client intake, screenings, conflict checks, and matter setup per firm procedures
- Provide operational support for case activity and electronic court filings as needed
- Support financial management through budgets, expense monitoring, billing coordination, and matter administration
- Maintain visibility over deadlines, deliverables, and strategic initiatives to meet objectives
- Monitor practice systems (Best Case, ECFx) for usage, compliance, and data accuracy
- Assist marketing efforts with campaigns, client events, and directory submissions
- Prepare and distribute practice reports on productivity, financials, staffing, and matter status
- Coordinate team meetings, agenda development, outcomes documentation, and action item follow-through
- Serve as central contact with accounting, HR, marketing, IT, and training while handling confidential matters
Key requirements- Experience in a legal/ bankruptcy operations environment
- Strong organizational judgment and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of legal operations and confidentiality practices
- Familiarity with legal document handling, e-filing, and information gathering
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations
- Attention to data accuracy and process compliance
- Experience with budgeting and billing coordination preferred
