Overview In this role you will support the firm's US risk function, advising partners on business acceptance, conflicts, confidentiality and regulatory issues. You will perform due diligence and reputational risk assessments for new clients and matters, resolve conflicts and information barriers, and draft waivers as needed. You will serve as a go-to resource on US law, regulation and firm policy, while building cross-functional relationships and contributing to training and process development. This is a partner-facing role with broad exposure to risk issues in a leading global law firm.

Responsibilities- Advise partners on business acceptance, conflicts of interest, confidentiality and sanctions issues
- Conduct client due diligence and reputational risk assessments for new matters
- Resolve conflicts, confidentiality and AML/sanctions issues and draft waivers
- Maintain information barriers and assist with lateral hire conflicts
- Advise on client engagement letters, outside counsel guidelines and ethics/regulatory compliance matters
- Assist with conflicts review for incoming lateral hires; build cross-sector relationships
- Deliver training (new hire induction and Intapp systems training) and support development of business acceptance processes
Key requirements- US-qualified lawyer with at least four years' experience in a leading international law firm
- Experience in compliance, conflicts, risk management or business acceptance, or related risk/ethics field
- Strong analytical, drafting and communication skills
