Overview In this Estimator role, you will own the pre-bid process, building accurate cost estimates that guide project viability and competitiveness. You will work within the Estimating team to review plans, perform quantity takeoffs, and finalize bid documents that align with client requirements. You'll engage with clients and subs, manage bid files, and support pre-construction budgeting and turnover. This position emphasizes analytical rigor, organizational discipline, and cross-functional collaboration to win bids while maintaining quality. The role offers growth through training junior estimators and contributing to client relationships and project success.

Responsibilities- Attend pre-bid meetings
- Bid package review (Plans, Specifications, CAD, Geotechnical Report, etc.)
- Detailed quantity takeoff and summary (Earthwork, Utilities, and Paving)
- Communication with clients for bid requirements
- Bid file document control
- Vendor and Subcontractor solicitation and quote review
- Develop and complete estimates for projects
- Work with clients on preliminary project budgets
- Maintain existing and develop new client relationships
- Pre-construction budgeting and turnover
- Assist with the training of junior-level estimators

Key requirements- Three or more years of experience in civil estimating, project management, construction operations, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree may be beneficial but is not required; equivalent combinations considered
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office, HCSS HeavyBid (or equivalent), Agtek, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, Google Earth, and Bluebeam
