Overview In this role you will lead and perform cost estimation for client projects, guiding the estimating function and ensuring robust, defendable outputs. You'll work closely with client teams, internal stakeholders, and partners to develop ROMs, budgets, and cost models, driving efficiency and standards across the program. You'll shape the estimating practice with templates, tools, and process improvements, leveraging data and AI-enabled workflows to support decision-making. This is a hands-on leadership role that impacts project funding and client service.

Responsibilities- Serve as the primary estimating expert for the client account and oversee all estimating deliverables
- Lead the estimating function: prepare estimates, manage workload, delegate tasks, and meet SLAs
- Interface with Client, JLL teams, and external partners for ROMs, budgets, and estimates
- Review and update detailed cost estimates and budgets for project funding packages
- Act as chief reviewer of cost estimates, validating accuracy and assumptions
- Develop and enforce program-wide estimating standards, methodologies, and QC procedures
- Create and maintain standardized estimation templates, tools, and best practices
- Research and manage strategic initiatives to improve estimating, including trackers and cost databases
- Prioritize requests to exceed client expectations
- Provide superior client service through objective recommendations
- Coordinate the estimating team's workload and track progress via standardized tools
- Onboard new estimating resources with process and tool guidance
- Investigate and incorporate emerging technologies (including internal AI tools) to automate workflows
- Monitor actual costs against budgets and report deviations and risks
- Leverage historical data to improve program cost models
- Maintain records of estimates with breakdowns, assumptions, and risk assessments
- Stay informed on market conditions and industry best practices
- Build rapport with stakeholders across Client Real Estate teams, contractors, and partners
- Enhance cost controls service delivery through efficiency improvements
- Comply with all JLL policies and procedures

Key requirements- 7+ years as an Estimator, Cost Manager or similar role
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and interact with clients and stakeholders
- Strong understanding of real estate asset management or commercial construction
- Demonstrated ability to analyze construction documents and extract relevant cost information
- Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and mathematical abilities
