Overview In this role you will lead global spend within a designated commodity, driving cost reductions and supply continuity. You will manage Dana's contracts, monitor performance, and propose sourcing solutions based on data and total cost of ownership analyses. You'll collaborate across functions to push continuous cost and process improvements and guide RFIs/RFQs from planning to negotiation. This position shapes procurement strategy and ensures strong supplier partnerships at scale.
Responsibilities- Formulate annual cost-reduction and performance-improvement plans
- Analyze quotes to select best-value global sourcing options
- Follow commodity strategy, leverage suppliers, and drive benefits from key suppliers
- Prepare RFQs and consolidate responses; understand RFQ elements
- Define milestones and track progress; support APQP processes
- Communicate supplier viewpoints to internal stakeholders
- Support negotiations with data-driven justification
- Understand RFQ basics and contract basics, including IP, NDAs, confidentiality
- Monitor supplier performance via scorecards and manage purchasing processes
- Embrace benchmarking, VA/VE, Lean, outsourcing, resourcing, LPP, and value stream mapping in cross-functional context
Key requirements- 4-year degree in Business or Engineering
- 3-5 years of procurement experience (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Team-oriented, cross-functional collaboration
- Willingness to travel ( 10%)
