Sr. Buyer

As Sr. Buyer, you will manage procurement for the business unit, securing the right products at the right cost, quality, and timing to support inventory optimization and service levels. You will partner with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to align supply plans with demand, identify and resolve supply issues, and pursue continuous procurement improvements. You'll drive cost reduction and lead-times improvements while managing supplier relationships and internal processes. • Analyze purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders to meet requirements with competitive costs, quality, and lead times
• Own inventory days on hand for the business unit and align inventory strategies with supply plans
• Proactively communicate supply issues and coordinate resolution with material supply
• Develop ideas to improve procurement, planning and operations efficiency and initiate Kaizens
• Identify and manage excess and obsolete inventory to minimize future issues
• Resolve Accounts Payable and Receiving issues in a timely manner
• Lead internal supply and demand balancing meetings to drive customer experience

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields (preferred)
• 7-10 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, materials planning, or related fields
• Advanced Excel skills with database/file creation; SQL experience preferred
• Experience with MRP or supply planning software such as SAP or JDE
• Experience in a Job-Shop manufacturing environment (preferred)
