Litigation Associate - Of Counsel (Remote)

Overview

In this role you will handle sophisticated California employment litigation matters for employers, working remotely within a nationally recognized labor and employment firm. You will join a collaborative team in the Employment Litigation Practice Group and contribute to high-profile cases across industries. You will manage cases from start to finish, shape strategy, and interact directly with clients and senior attorneys. Responsibilities
  • Defend employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters and agency proceedings
  • Manage all aspects of litigation from strategy through trial preparation, including discovery, pleadings, and motions
  • Represent employers before state and federal agencies and in arbitrations and mediations
  • Counsel employers on employment law compliance and workplace issues
  • Conduct management trainings on employment and labor topics
  • Collaborate with cross-office attorneys to provide strategic, business-oriented legal advice
Key requirements
  • 4+ years of substantive California employment litigation experience (Associate level)
  • Active California Bar admission in good standing
  • Experience defending employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and related claims
  • Experience representing employers in court, arbitrations, mediations, and agency matters
  • Strong knowledge of California and federal employment laws and procedures
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities
  • Prior large law firm experience preferred
  • Of Counsel track requires 9+ years of relevant CA employment litigation experience and first-chair capabilities
