Overview As Senior Counsel, you will deliver high-quality, cost-effective legal services for a defined area, guiding senior management on complex issues. You will build strong client relationships, mentor junior attorneys, and oversee matter budgets and outside counsel invoices. Responsibilities- Advise senior management on complex legal issues within a business line or practice area
- Negotiate and influence leaders on significant matters
- Conduct legal research on area of specialization
- Identify and communicate risk and provide mitigation recommendations
- Draft, negotiate, and execute legal documents
- Monitor external legal developments and judicial trends
- Build and maintain internal and external client relationships
- Mentor junior attorneys and staff
- Review and manage annual legal fees budgets and outside counsel invoices
- Utilize technology and automation in legal practice
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Juris Doctorate or equivalent and licensed to practice law in applicable states
- Active license in good standing
- 7-10 years of prior legal experience as a practicing attorney
