Overview

As Enterprise Architect at ABS Wavesight, you will shape and govern enterprise IT architecture to support our maritime SaaS platform. You will collaborate across IT and business domains to drive architecture vision, create guiding artifacts, and oversee roadmaps for technology adoption. You'll lead architecture programs, conduct audits of implementations, and explore new technologies through POCs. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on modeling and cross-team leadership to enable scalable, secure solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Innovate and evangelize IT solutions to meet evolving enterprise needs
  • Create and support the Enterprise Architecture Governance program
  • Coordinate across IT and business domains to enable architecture adoption
  • Produce architectural artifacts and communicate initiatives to stakeholders
  • Guide architecture development in system, information, data, security, process, and reporting
  • Lead and manage project teams across multicultural environments
  • Audit system implementations for adherence to architectural principles
  • Research emerging technologies and assess PoC feasibility
  • Develop roadmaps and plans for technology adoption in support of business needs
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 10 years of professional IT experience
  • Proven systems and data architecture experience
  • Strong understanding of business goals and capabilities
  • Experience with EA frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, FEA) preferred
  • Lead-scale enterprise application architect experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in modeling (BPMN, UML, ER) and EA tooling
  • Ability to research trends and assess standards and products
  • Solid knowledge of core enterprise applications and IT infrastructure
  • Experience with Java, J2EE, C#, .NET, Oracle, SQL Server, NoSQL, Cloud, Mobility
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong planning and analytical abilities
  • EA frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, FEA)
  • Enterprise Architecture modeling (BPMN, UML, ER)
  • Experience with EA modeling tools
