Overview

In this role you will provide strategic legal support to Hilton's development teams as they expand the Americas hotel and branded residential portfolio. You will partner with Development, Operations, Brands and Finance to shape deals and protect commercial interests, while managing risk and coordinating outside counsel. You will steer complex hotel management, residential licensing and financing agreements through their lifecycle, delivering practical, business-oriented legal advice. Responsibilities
  • Review, draft, and negotiate management agreements for hotels and residential projects, license agreements with owners, and finance-related agreements with lenders
  • Support owner relationships across the lifecycle of contractual relationships, including amendments and issue resolution
  • Provide practical risk analysis and strategic legal counsel to business partners on hospitality matters
  • Partner with Development, Operations, Brands and Finance to protect commercial interests and drive network growth
  • Collaborate with the Legal Department and outside counsel to develop balanced approaches to solve problems and meet business objectives
  • Own projects including hotel/residential management agreements and amendments, SNDA, Condominium Marketing License Agreements, and F&B/service/consultancy agreements
Key requirements
  • Three or more years of relevant legal experience in Hospitality, Commercial Real Estate, or similar transactional work with first-chair negotiation experience
  • Admitted to practice law and in good standing with Virginia State Bar or eligible to register as in-house counsel with Virginia State Bar
  • Experience interacting with business partners and building trust
  • Proven ability in detailed legal drafting and translating concepts to business colleagues
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (1-4 times per year)
