Overview In this role you will lead day-to-day reinsurance operations and serve as the primary liaison for the ReAcct ceded reinsurance system. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate contract setup, billing, and subledger integrity for new and renewal programs. Your work supports timely financial close, SOX compliance, and accurate reinsurance reporting. This is a hands-on, cross-functional position that shapes how reinsurance operations scale with the business and technology needs. Responsibilities- Lead new and renewal reinsurance contract setup (Quota Share and Excess of Loss) and coordinate data requirements with Data and IT teams
- Oversee ceded reinsurance subledger reconciliations and investigate material variances
- Manage reinsurance cash application, approve settlements, and produce monthly reporting for Treasury
- Ensure timely generation of cession and billing statements and resolve broker queries on due-to/due-from settlements
- Oversee all aspects of the ReAcct ceded reinsurance subledger, monitor capacity, and support financial close, SOX compliance, and reporting
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 5+ years in finance, accounting, or operations (public accounting or private)
- Experience reviewing and approving others' work
- Intermediate Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF)
