New Century Construction is a growing construction company based in Turlock, Ca. We are looking to expand our team with an experienced, hands-on Construction Foreman/Working Superintendent.
This position is for someone who can perform construction work, lead crews and subcontractors, and take responsibility for the daily operation of a jobsite. The right candidate must be able to review plans, organize the work, prepare for inspections, identify problems, and keep projects moving with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee hands-on construction work
- Lead field crews and coordinate subcontractors
- Review plans, specifications, and project requirements
- Plan daily work and assign responsibilities
- Coordinate materials, equipment, deliveries, and inspections
- Confirm work is complete and ready before requesting inspections
- Monitor workmanship, safety, and jobsite organization
- Identify and resolve field issues
- Communicate project progress, delays, and material needs
- Travel to projects throughout the Central Valley and surrounding areas
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of construction experience
- Experience with public works, commercial, and residential construction
- Experience leading crews and coordinating subcontractors
- Ability to read plans and manage daily field operations
- Knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and inspections
- Dependable, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to drive a truck and tow a construction trailer
- Bilingual English and Spanish are a plus
Experience with concrete, framing, tenant improvements, and general construction is preferred.
