We train skilled and caring craftsmen and craftswomen to become home accessibility experts. Apply your home improvement skills and helpful demeanor to improve the safety of seniors in our community.
In this role, you would meet with families and individuals who need to make their home safe and accessible for seniors or individuals who are physically impaired and/or are recovering from medical procedures. Your recommendations and installations will include grab bars, stair railings, wheelchair ramps, stair lifts and a variety of other safety devices to enhance the independence and safety of our clients.
Through our work as a licensed general contractor, we make home modifications to improve the quality of life for seniors, enhancing their ability to remain in their homes for the rest of their lives. Key Elements of Your New Job:
- In a full-time job, your work schedule would be 7:15 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. Monday - Friday
- The starting pay range is $30 - $40 an hour; depending on experience and fit; perhaps more for those with directly applicable experience (e.g. stair lift installation)
- You would receive paid vacation, sick leave and holidays
- You can participate in our 401k - we provide a 4% company match
- We offer year-end profit sharing (up to 9% of your pay)
- You are eligible for health insurance
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Home improvement / repair skills
- Experience working independently in a residential field service capacity
- Kindness and patience to work with the elderly
- Working with technology (iPads/tablets)
- Capable of lifting 50 - 75 lbs. required on occasion
- Superior communication skills
