Physician Assistant (PA)
Location: Near Waco, TX
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Pay: $60 70 per hour (DOE)
Overview:
Our medical practice near Waco is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to provide timely, compassionate care to patients from pediatric through adult. You will be a front-line provider for a wide range of patient needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat common acute illnesses, minor injuries, and urgent complaints
- Manage sick visits, including respiratory infections, ear infections, and gastrointestinal complaints
- Assess and treat sprains, strains, and minor sports injuries, ordering imaging and therapies when indicated
- Perform sports physicals and other routine exams, documenting findings and clearing patients per established guidelines
- Perform routine procedures such as suturing, wound care, incision and drainage, and splinting
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including prescribing medications, ordering diagnostic tests, and arranging follow-up care
- Provide clear patient education on diagnoses, treatment plans, medication use, and self-care
- Document encounters, orders, and follow-up plans accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Qualifications:
- Active, current Physician Assistant (PA) licensure in Texas
- Minimum 3 years of PA experience in urgent care or emergency room settings
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
- Ability to work a rotating schedule, including weekends
- Sports medicine, occupational medicine, or school-based health experience preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
