Construction Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to support commercial construction projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

This position is ideal for a safety professional who enjoys working in the field, collaborating with construction teams, and promoting a strong culture of workplace safety.

Our client is an established safety consulting company that partners with contractors and construction organizations to provide on-site safety oversight, compliance support, and risk management services.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily safety operations on active construction sites.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and company safety standards.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and employee training.
• Identify potential safety hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and records.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across construction teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction safety, preferably within commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulations.
• Experience conducting jobsite inspections and implementing safety procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with construction crews and management.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Experience working on union construction sites is a plus.
• Relevant safety certifications such as CHST, CSP, or equivalent are a plus.
